The story in the link below broke out yesterday. I won’t describe the horrific act. You need to read it for yourselves. But the gist involves a teen who used abortion meds to end her pregnancy.

The teen apparently was provided abortion meds from her mom. She aborted the baby. The baby was over 20 weeks, making the self-induced abortion illegal under Nebraska law. Both she and her mom are receiving mere slaps on their hands.

And the charges against the girl and her mom? Main charges: concealing a dead body, and providing an illegal abortion (respectively). Not murder of an unborn baby.

The sensible and moral person might ask: Why are these cases happening? Evil was ushered in by making abortion legal in the first place. We are desensitized. To some, this is an ‘oh, well’ moment. And with today’s attitude toward unborn children, perhaps this story doesn’t raise an eyebrow. Why should it? We have dehumanized babies. We opened Pandora’s Box, and the implications are being played out.

And where are the people of faith? They certainly seem absent in the public service realm. Politicians are becoming increasingly heartless, or the scourge of abortion would have been wiped out long ago.

In the words of the Wicked Witch of the West, “What a world!”

SIDEBAR: Pray for the teen and her mother, that they come to the realization of this as a heinous and sinful act so that they are penetant before the God of Creation…for the sake of their eternal souls.

    1. Yes, every abortion is murder. This one brings the truth of what “abortion” is…the killing of a baby that should be in the safest place possible…the womb of his/her own mother. Very sad all around.

  1. We are living in dark times. I feel blessed that my eyes are open…doesn’t make it easy, however, my Hope and salvation is in Jesus. Since my eyes were opened, I view everything through a different lens and see what is truly there, instead of pretending that I don’t notice what I am seeing.
