Questionable Synod Prep

The Pope will assign new Cardinals on Sept. 29 in preparation for the Synod… 18 of whom will be able to vote in the Synod. Packing the Synod. Nice.

Lord have mercy.

Laity will be able to vote. Looks like it may be more like a Protestant consistory that is run like a democracy.

Christ have mercy.

But the Church was not established by Christ as a political institution, dependent upon culture changes and laity input.

Lord have mercy.

We as Catholics must not fall into the error of complacency. We first need to know well the Deposit of Faith, along with the Doctrines which define Catholicism and are unchangeable. And second, we must gear ourselves up to stand firm on those objective Truths.

The Synod is potentially the most dangerous threat our Faith has ever experienced. Keep your eyes and ears open. Remember that we follow Christ only.
