My dear friend Fr. Stanislaw Zak has been a tireless Champion for Ukraine since his retirement. Specifically, he is helping to rebuild a beautiful Church there. However, he is refocusing efforts to assist the people of Ukraine during the war. Whether or not you agree with Putin, or think he is justified, the people are suffering. Governments fight Wars; civilians suffer. Can you help?  I have personally known this priest for years. This is one effort I know is ethically dispersed

    1. Yes. I posted on FB. He was a very dear friend. He called me when he got back from Poland a few weeks ago. He was invited to my son’s wedding. My son is marrying a girl from his parish, who Father Zak knew growing up. And then he got to know my son when we went on pilgrimage with him to Italy. I am going to miss him terribly.

How do you know father Zak?

      1. Oh my… Fr. Stan and I go back 35+ years I think Knew each other through the Polish community in the Bay Area. He performed weddings and funerals for us and his church is 15 mins from my house.
        Wonderful, warm, wise.
He will be missed by so many….
I know I have many more pictures of him than I shared so far but will have to dig through the decades.
My phone has been ringing off the hook today from friends asking about a funeral.
I am sure we can prepare a fitting farewell….
