IRONY PLAYING OUT IN OUR TIME:

Does anyone else see the connection to May 13 this year?

I am seeing a taste of what Our Lady of Fatima foretold. The Great Evil she predicted to come out of Russia was Socialism/Communism. It began months after her warning through the Bolshevik Revolution. It’s fingerprint is evident throughout the entire world, even though there are only about five actual Communist governments (China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea and Vietnam.) The UN and WHO both promote the ideology in various ways. Our own progressive Democratic party in the US has pushed for it.

Communism per se/proper may not strike the entire world at this time, but the effect of the panic of COVID-19 has been Draconian implementation of the primary tenet of the Communist philosophy…oppressive government rule worldwide. Not based on objective scientific fact. Not based on good reason and logic. But based on fear and the promotion of fear.

Look at the worldwide economy shutdowns and lockdowns. See how the Church worldwide has been brought to its knees…and not in a good way! Observe US States moving toward surveillance and intrusions on privacy. Notice the polarization and divisions.

There are so many parallels that should be at the forefront of our minds. George Orwell in both 1984 and Animal Farm gave a prophetic look at people (and an animal analogy) who willingly and systematically give up their freedom, exchanging it for the promise of authoritarian ‘help.’

And one truly glaring example in real life is the Cristero War of Mexico (circa early 20th Century). Over the course of several Mexican presidents, laws were put in place that would effectively rob citizens of freedoms…especially religious freedom. Then under President Plutarco Elias Calles, these oppressive laws were put into action. His disdain for the Catholic Church resulted in bloody assassinations of priests and citizens, who refused to follow his laws banning Mass. A rag-tag militia (sound familiar?) formed, and a several year war ensued.

Are we there yet? Not exactly. But, wait…are churches open? Are we being required to follow restrictive executive orders from governors enjoying a new autocratic paradigm? But we have the Constitution, right? We always believed something this Draconian could NEVER happen here. Not in the USA! Perhaps it is not as unlikely as we thought.

At the moment of this writing, the US House of Representatives on May 1, 2020 has penned H.R. 6666 (a number that is one digit more than the Mark of the Beast) a Bill that would approve federal surveillance of individuals. California and Illinois have already implemented such State actions.

We are in BIG trouble if we do not find a way to stand against these moves that endanger Church and freedoms. Pray (especially the Rosary, as Our Lady of Fatima asked us), and stand for Truth. Become completely informed from RELIABLE sources (give up main-stream media). And act as your well-formed conscience leads you. This, as in other fights against oppression throughout time, is our moment in history.
