The death of Stephen Hawking was not a shock to many, considering his physical condition. Even so, the loss is being mourned by the entire world. His contribution to humanity through his intellect is indisputable.
But it’s interesting…he may have been one of the most brilliant minds of our time, yet he failed to embrace the single most important issue for any human being: the existence of God. Unfortunately, his influence due to his atheism was nearly as renowned as his scientific prowess. Truly, a different, more dubious type of legacy…
I pray that in his final moments, he recanted his rejection of the God who loved him, so that even he will not perish. Christ’s sacrifice is made available to all…even one such as him.
Please pray with me this was so, and that God will have mercy upon his eternal soul.
